NPP’s Ejisu Parliamentary Primary: Vital statistics

Voting is currently underway in the Ejisu Constituency in the Ashanti Region by 1,081 delegates of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

The delegates have to choose from nine contenders, namely; Kwasi Nyantakyi Kwabena Boateng, Dr Evans Duah, Klinsman Karikari Mensah, Helena Mensah, Abena Pokuaa Boaitey, Portia Acheampong Abronye, Aaron Prince Duah and Maame Yaa Aboagye.

The primary became necessary due to the demise of the incumbent MP, Dr John Kumah. Dr Kumah died aged 45 after short illness.

  • Number of delegates: 1,081
  • Number of male delegates:   683 (63.18%)
  • Number of female delegates:398(36.82%)
  • Total number of candidates: 9
  • Male candidates: 5
  • Female candidates: 4
