Former President John Mahama has touted the capabilities of his running mate, Prof Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang to assist him govern the country effectively and efficiently if they win power come December 7, 2024.
According to him, his decision to re-select her as his running mate for the 2024 presidential election was based on the conviction that Prof Opoku Agyemang has what it takes to help assist in turning round the fortunes of the country.
“If there is any evidence of my commitment to building the Ghana we want, it is in the choice of Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang,” Mr Mahama said at the outdooring of the former Education Minister as his running mate on April 24, 2024.
The event, which is being held at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) auditorium, is being attended by stalwarts of the party as well as grassroots members.
Former President Mahama said he finds is Prof Opoku-Agyemang, an able assistant who when she becomes Vice President, will have oversight responsibility for education, gender and other social issues.
