Ghanaian Reggae Dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale has vehemently refused to offer an apology to the Ghana Society of Physically Disabled (GSPD) after mocking Stonebwoy with his disability.

Following Wale’s mockery of Stonebwoy during the Salah festivities, the GSPD demanded an apology from the artiste and asked him to retract his statement.

However, in a viral video responding to the society, Shatta Wale did not comply with the society’s request.

The ‘Ayoo’ hit maker rather questioned the society’s motive for the demand and spoke against their request.

“You can’t create a problem for me, I am a problem myself,” “Everything we are creating an association and paying dues, there is even Unemployed people association,” the outspoken musician stated.

The Society had strongly cautioned Shatta Wale in a statement on Monday, April 15 and demanded that he should retract and apologise to all persons with disabilities and initiate steps to take down the video from social media.

The society also reminded him that making derogatory remarks about a person’s disability is a punishable offence by law with reference to the Disability Act 715.

Responding to the mockery by Shatta Wale, GSPD noted that such a “primitive statement should not have come from a high-profile personality like Shata Wale.”

The society described that act as “irresponsible” one and called on Ghanaians to condemn the musician’s behaviour.
