You are a brigadier of religious tolerance – Clergy in Ahafo commends Bawumia
Leadership of the Christian community in the Ahafo Region have acknowledged the efforts of the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, at promoting inclusion and religious tolerance in Ghana.
At a meeting with Dr. Bawumia in Goaso in the Ahago Region on Tuesday, in which he explained his policies and vision, leadership of the Clergy praised Dr. Bawumia for his religious tolerance, and encouraged him not to shun away from it as he seeks to lead the country.
“Action speaks louder than words and you have demonstrated your humility and your religious tolerance to bring people together,” said Rt. Rev. Kwesi Jackson of the Methodist Diocese of Ahafo Region, speaking on behalf of his colleagues.
“With the kind of humility you display, I believe that the God, in whom you believe, will continue to give you courage to do that,” added Rt. Rev. Jackson.

The Pastor continued that some people change with power in their hands, and he urged Dr. Bawumia to continue with his unifying character as leader of the country.
“Don’t move away from these values when God gives you the power,” he said.
Dr. Bawumia is in the Ahafo Region as part of his nationwide campaign tour.
He has been engaging various stakeholders across the country, including religious and traditional leaders, traders, artisans, the youth and members of the public in their homes and on the streets.
