I felt sad about Afronitaa’s departure from DWP – Champion Rolie

Ghanaian Dancer, Roland Frimpong Nyarko widely known as Champion Rolie has disclosed that he was unhappy upon hearing about the departure of colleague dancer, Afronitaa from the Dance With Purpose (DWP) Academy.

According to him, prior to Afronitaa’s departure from DWP, she confided in him and informed about her decision to leave and pursue her own project – opening a dance academy for kids.

“It’s her personal decision. She told me that she wanted to leave and begin her own project and that it was time for her to leave. When she told me, I felt sad but I offered my advise I have for her. She is the type who likes kids so she wanted to begin a dance class for kids,” Champion Rolie stated.

The dancer also spoke about his rumuors of involving in a relationship with Afronitaa describing it as only ‘platonic’.

You recall that Champion Rolie bought an iPhone 15 Pro Max worth GH¢20,000 for Afronitaa during her birthday.

He clarified that the kind gesture was only because Afronitaa is his “favourite person” and there were no emotional strings attached.

“She [Afronita] is my PP, which stands for personal person. She is my favourite person, and to celebrate her birthday, I purchased an iPhone 15 Pro Max valued at GH¢20,000 for her,” he shared with Delay in a yet-to-be-aired interview.

Both Rolie and Afronitaaa have denied being in a relationship, but are very close pals.
