Naana Opoku-Agyemang epitomises motherhood – Asante Otchere

A political science lecturer at the University of Cape Coast (UCC), Dr. Jonathan Asante Otchere, has observed that the re-selected running mate for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, is the epitome of motherhood.

Dr. Jonathan Asante Otchere said the naming of Prof. Opoku-Agyemang, therefore, didn’t come to him as a surprise.

He noted that anyone who came into contact with the former first female Vice Chancellor of UCC, “will see that kind of mother instinct that she has,” emphasising that it is not surprising to ensure her children attain their PhDs.

“Three of her children all have their PhDs so you could see that we are talking about a woman who is a success. She really is a success story for all other mothers to follow,” he said.

“For a Vice Chancellor to have that time and have such tete-a-tete with you meant that she gave credence to little details because she had time for everyone. For me, it came to me as someone who is indeed a mother and I’ve always referred to her as a mother.

“She is [the] epitome of motherhood,” said Dr. Jonathan Asante Otchere on TV3 in reaction to the outdooring event of Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang on Wednesday.
