History has vindicated Kwame Nkrumah – Abu Sakara

Co-convener of the Alliance for Revolutionary Change (ARC), Dr. Michael Abu Sakara Foster, says history has vindicated Dr. Kwame Nkrumah as his homilies and sayings are still relevant.

He has eulogized Ghana’s first Prime Minister, stressing that Dr. Nkrumah was and still is an exceptional leader who worked tirelessly for Ghana’s independence and the liberation of Africa.

Dr. Kwame Nkrumah is remembered for his unrepentant anti-colonial stance and strident Pan-Africanism.

He is regarded as one of Africa’s ablest statesmen of the 20th century who led his country (Ghana) to attain independence to be the first country in sub-Saharan Africa to achieve this feat.

“History has vindicated Nkrumah, whatever he told us would come to pass has come to pass, we were doubting before, but now the evidence is there,” Dr Sakara said.

The 2012 presidential candidate of Convention People’s Party (CPP) and founder of the National Interest Movement (NIM) speaking on Onua FM Etifi Nsem show on Saturday April 27, insisted that history has not proven Kwame Nkrumah to be a liar.

He emphasized that whatever Kwame Nkrumah said about Africa against neo-colonialism has come to pass even though people doubted him at the time he was cautioning African leaders.

“He told us that neo-colonialism will destroy us and yet some people would go and embrace the very people who were oppressing us; we go and borrow so much from them that they are able to cripple emasculate and determine the rate at which we can even breath fresh air,” he decried.

The agronomist expounded that the only statement by Osagyefo Kwame Nkrumah that one could question is that Africans are capable of managing their own affairs.

He was quick to add that it doesn’t mean that we are not capable, but it means that we as a people have decided not to be capable and develop in comfort.
