Rabi Musah, a Fabulous Ladies player, has been banned for a year by the Ghana Football Association‘s Disciplinary Committee for assaulting a referee.

The GFA prosecutor charged the Women’s Premier League player after she attacked referee Faizatu Japka during a game against Kumasi Sports Academy.

Rabi Musah verbally and physically assaulted referee Faizatu Japka on February 27, 2021, during the match at Ejisu Okese Park, an act that was considered to have violated the laws of the game and the association’s regulations.

Rabi Musah is barred from participating in any football-related activity from April 13, 2021 to April 12, 2022, in compliance with Article 12(4) of the GFA Disciplinary Code 2019.

The Committee also imposed a fine of 5,000 Ghana Cedis on her (GHc5,000.00).

Three thousand Ghana Cedis (GHc3,000.00) is suspended due to the player’s request for leniency, leaving a fine of two thousand Ghana Cedis (GHc2,000.00) to be charged.
