Multiple award-winning afrobeats artiste, King Promise has opened up about his reason for choosing Asia for his recent tour.

Speaking in an interview on TV3’s New Day on Monday, King Promise said he arrived at the decision after background works with his team indicated that his songs have gained some traction in the Western part of Asia.

“We can see from our backend that there was a spike from like Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and all of that. So, like we just got in touch with our global team and there we people who really wanted us out there already. So, it was really easy because there was already traction,” King Promise said.

Last month, King Promise made history as the first Ghanaian artiste to host sold-out concerts in Asia.

The singer announced this in a post on Instagram on April 24.

Being his first Asia tour, the musician made Ghana proud with a stunning performance at the Tipsy Unicorn Beach House on April 26, 2024, in Singapore.

Patrons were enthused and excited to have King Promise as they sing along word to word with the Afrobeats star while performing his hit songs like ‘Terminator’, ‘Commando’ and others.

He continued his tour Asia tour with live performances in  Bali’s  Atlas Beach Club on April 27 and  Jakarta on May 3.

King Promise is currently in Toronto, Canada for another tour and has announced an album release next month.

After the album release, the artiste will embark on another world tour with his album in Europe, Asia, North America and Africa.
