Asake and Burna Boy Tops Apple music Ghana’s top 100 chart

The list, which is meant to be dominated by Ghanaian acts, presently has the most tracks by Nigeria’s Asake and Grammy Award winner Burna Boy.

Ahmed Ololade, a star of the YBNL Nation better known by his stage name Asake, is enjoying success with his debut studio album.

On September 8, 2022, the popular Nigerian music and performing artist released his eagerly anticipated debut studio album, titled “Mr. Vibe With The MoneyHighly regarded Nigerian Afrobeats musician Burna Boy is joined by American rapper Russ on the 12-track studio album, which was produced, mixed, and mastered by renowned Nigerian producer Magicsticks.

The singer, whose smash song “Terminator” debuted at number one and every single from the 12-track project claimed a spot on the chart, is currently one of the Nigerian musicians taking over the Apple Music Top 100 Ghana Music chart. 13 of the singer’s tracks are currently in the top 100.

Burna Boy, a self-described African giant, is another Nigerian who is now ruling the charts and is also enjoying success with his most recent album.

The Grammy Award winner released his highly awaited studio album, titled “Love, Damini,” on Friday, July 8, 2022.

Top recording and performing artists from the entertainment industry are represented on the star-studded studio album, including Ladysmith Black Mambazo, J Hus, Victony, Popcaan, Kehlani, Blxst, Ed Sheeran, J Balvin, and Khalid.

Following the album’s great release, the Afrobeats singing sensation currently rules the Apple Music Top 100 Ghana Music chart, with 15 tracks and practically every single tune from the 19-track record having a spot on the list.Among the top-charting Nigerian musicians are Fireboy DML, Davido, Rugar, Kizz Daniels, and others.

There isn’t a single Ghanaian Act among the Top 20 Apple Rated tracks in Ghana right now.Gykaie, a rising star from Ghana, debuted at number 23 with her hit song “Something,” while BET Award winner Stonebwoy debuted at number 26 with his most recent single, “GIDIGBA” (Firm & Strong).

Other Ghanaian artists on the Top 100 Apple Rated chart include Darkoo, Mayorkun from Nigeria, and Camidoh, who is on position 28 with his remix of “Sugarcane” alongside King Promise.

With “10 Toes,” King Promise came in at number 29, Lasmid at number 33, and Kelvyn Boy at number 37 with his “Down Flat” remix ft. Tekno and Stefflon Don. Black Sherif, Amerado, Darko Vibes, Kwesi Arthur, Kidi, R2Bess, and Sarkodie are additional artists.
