Limited Voter Registration: Your vote is your power; go and register – Akufo-Addo urges

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has urged Ghanaians who are yet to register onto the electoral roll to do so.

He reminded Ghanaians that their vote is their power hence the need to register.

President Akufo-Addo said these while addressing supporters at a mini rally in Doboro in the Greater Accra region following a visit to the premises of Blue Skies Limited.

“The registration has started, I urge all persons yet to register to do so, your vote is your power.

“I can’t hand over to someone I defeated twice and is not happy with everything I do, he will destroy the work that I have done.

“Vote for Dr Bamwua, I have worked with him for the past seven and a half years, I have confidence in him, I know he can continue the good work,” he said.

Limited Voter Registration: Register and make your vote count – Bawumia urges

The Electoral Commission (EC) commenced this year’s limited voter registration exercise on Tuesday, May 7, ahead of the December 7 general elections.

The 21-day exercise will end on Monday, May 27, 2024. It aims at individuals who have turned 18 years old since the last registration to be enrolled in the national album.

Also, according to the EC, the exercise will be conducted at its district offices and in difficult-to-access electoral areas.

“Permanent centres will be set up at the District offices while mobile teams would be used to register eligible applicants in the difficult to access Electoral Areas. The list of registration centres will be provided to the Political Parties no later than twenty-one (21) days to the Registration exercise,” the EC noted.
