NPP GAR regional chairman discredits Global InfoAnalytics research

The Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Divine Agorhum has questioned the credibility of research conducted by Global InfoAnalytics.

Agorhum emphasized that the predictions made by the research firm are unreliable and not reflective of the actual ground realities.

Agorhum contended that any findings suggesting a potential victory for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the upcoming elections, based on Global InfoAnalytics’ assessments, should not be trusted.

In an interview with Nana Yaa Brefo and Isaac Ekow JB on Yen Nsempa, Onua FM, he referenced a past instance where the firm’s prediction of Kwasi Nyantakyi winning the Ejisu By-elections proved to be inaccurate, further undermining their credibility.

“During the Ejisu By-elections Global InfoAnalytics did a similar study, they said Kwasi Nyantekyi was going to win and it was false, they are not credible, I do not want to waste time talking about their research” he said to Nana Yaa Brefo and Isaac Ekow JB on Yen Nsempa, Onua FM.

His comment comes after Executive Director of Global Info Analytics Musah Danquah disclosed intriguing insights into regional preferences in Greater Accra, which says 73% of voters intend to vote for John Mahama, with a significant 21% for Bawumia and 5% for Alan.

Conversely, the Central Region shows a closer race, with 51% favoring Mahama and 45% for Bawumia.

Instead of engaging with these projections, Agorhum redirected the focus towards addressing pressing issues such as the ongoing electricity crisis in Ghana.

He acknowledged the challenges posed by power fluctuations and assured the public that the NPP is diligently working to resolve the situation.

“As we approach the elections, our priority is to tackle the current electricity crisis,” Agorhum emphasized. We recognize the temporary nature of this challenge and are committed to implementing effective solutions,” he added.
